MCC TR live @ TwitchCon San Diego
The following 8 Hermits will be playing live in MCC on this Saturday 7pm BST:
- GeminiTay on the Orange Ocelots, with Masayoshi, Purpled, and Janet
- ImpulseSV and Skizzleman on the Yellow Yaks, with fruitberries and Hannahxxrose
- GoodTimesWithScar, PearlescentMoon, and TangoTek on the Lime Llamas, with Feinberg
- Cubfan 135 and Smallishbeans on the Cyan Coyotes, with Oli TheOrionsound and Eloise
Is Pearl going to win three in a row?? Fans are very split on Lime's odds: Feinberg is fantastic, Pearl is good and Scar has been practicing a lot, but Tango isn't known for his parkour or PVP skills. More importantly, will Tango bring hats for all of them as Scar demanded?
Yellow is a very strong team so this might be Skizz' first win, and Orange is strong as well, and of course you can't count any team out because anything could happen.
I was also very amused by this comic about "hermit card collecting" at MCC, and someone soon made the corresponding stat sheet.
A cooperation between MCC and Creo Trading Cards, the same company that made the Hermitcraft TCG cards, will be announced during the event and I'm excited to find out more. (Do I need more trading cards? No. Will I be tempted to buy them if the art is as gorgeous as I expect? Absolutely.)

I don't know how I feel about the MCC trading cards (especially since it kind of feels they're just riding Beef's coattails...) but I am kind of excited about Doc's poker deck, if it actually gets made! And back when I was tabling at a lot of conventions, art cards/trading cards were a big thing that sort of died off, so it's cool to think about them coming back.

The thing with MCC trading cards is that the percentage of players I don't care about that much is so much higher than in the Hermitcraft set. I am curious what the surprise is they said they'd announce.
Other things I'm looking forward to this weekend are the Hermitcraft panel, and the Sunday videos the Guess the Build crew has been hyping for the past few days.
I'm also intrigued by Doc's poker deck. I think he did a good job with the face card choices :)

But it's good to have confirmation that TCG really was successful enough for Creo to want to do more!

It must have been successful, for them to do the expansion pack! Cleo was streaming when they found out how much money they would get from the TCG second edition cards and was surprised how much it was, they said it would cover their recent debt (that was shortly after she moved into her new house) and Joe was surprised that they had so much debt so it must have been a good amount.
