Goodbye TFC

I went online to do a spotlight, but instead I'm writing an epitaph.

I’m not sure how to tell you all, but sadly @tinfoilchef passed away this morning. He will be missed

Since TFC's illness and amputation two years ago he lived with his sister, who was so gracious in letting us know how he was doing when he was in the hospital, and again now by giving us this terrible news.

I saw TFC for the first time during Demise in season 6, and I loved how he would just steadily do his own thing while still being a part of the community around him. I loved his stories, his unapologetic way of talking, his massive branch mines, and his love of fanfiction. Most of all I loved his laugh. Watching his videos in the last few years has been a bittersweet experience more often than not, being so happy to see him vlogging or back on the server, and feeling the pain and frustration of his struggles.

I’ll miss you a lot, TFC. Wherever you’ve gone, I hope you get to keep mining.

Very sad. I didn't really watch TFC enough to have some good memories, but it was good knowing he was there doing "proper" human level minecraft amongst all the building and redstone geniuses.

Yeah, listening to his mining monologues and watching him getting confused by whatever had popped up in between his shopping trips was always fun.

I went and watched some of his videos from the last two seasons, and he seemed like my kind of Minecrafter. :( He didn't managed to do much in this season so I hadn't known him yet, but I think I'll miss him anyway.

He was a nice change from the rest of the server for sure! So very down to Earth. If you have the time you could watch his season 6 vids, his Fallout vault was pretty cool and he even participated in a server event! That was when I got to know him, I kinda want to go back and watch his other seasons at some point. Not yet though, I'll just get sad I won't ever see his vids again. :(
