Why don't you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi, I'm Waterfall, full of boundless optimism and probably more than a bit disconnected from reality in trying to get this community up and running, but we all need our hobbies. Mine usually consist of reading, playing computer games and the French Horn, writing, and the occasional knitting or cross-stitching. There's more about me on my journal if you're curious.

So how and when did you get into Hermitcraft?
I started watching Mumbo and then Grian close to the end of Season 6, then got ill and spent over a week on my sofa bingeing their whole season from the beginning. After that there was no turning back, and now I watch waaay too many Hermits on a regular basis.

Who are your favourite Hermits?
Well, some of them at least are Scar, Zedaph, and Ren. Joe and Cleo are probably my favourite duo, although I'm always dreaming of a Convex comeback.

What about your favourite Hermitcraft moment?
I'm very fond of Stress' "Come and chase me, boys, I'm going to murder you!" from the Civil War. My favourite event is probably the mayoral race.

What is your favourite thing about the Hermitcraft fandom?
All the incredibly talented people out there! Both writing and arts-wise there is always something amazing to read or look at.

Do you make any fanworks yourself?
I write fanfiction over on Archive of Our Own, mostly drabbles but also longer things. I'm quite obsessed with crossovers.

How did you hear about this community? What are you hoping to find here?
Uh, I made it, and all I'm really hoping for is to spark life into the Hermitcraft fandom on DW.

Why don't you tell us a little about yourself?

Hullo! I'm draxil. I live in the English peak district with my dog, my cat and my wife. The latter is a far more fanatical minecrafter than me. Spoilers for future questions :D

I'm also on mastodon at draxil@social.linux.pizza, although that's less hermit-crafty.

So how and when did you get into Hermitcraft?

My MRS was into hermitcraft, and I didn't really have time for it... But I was aware of it.

However when the pandemic hit (end of S6 start of S7?) it became the centre of our universe for a while and I fell hard for it. Especially as I found more and more hermits!

Who are your favourite Hermits?

They wax and wane, I feel like I'll miss out an important one and feel guilty :D

I think my gateway hermit was Cubfan.

Bdubs is just amazing, scar is adorable.. I think Grian makes a lot of the fun on everyone else's channels.. And I'd never miss an Etho episode ever.

But probably the glorious pair of Tango and Zedaph are my favourites. I think.

What about your favourite Hermitcraft moment?

Probably when Bdubs meticulously got all the stinky mushroom people's enderporters to fling them all in jail during the "turf war". Proving that he is a redstone genius after all :D

What is your favourite thing about the Hermitcraft fandom?

Some of the musical creations are just amazing. TBH I don't have enough time to explore. It's hard keeping up with the hermits themselves!

Do you make any fanworks yourself?

Nope. At least... Not yet!

How did you hear about this community? What are you hoping to find here?

I spotted a post on the community promo. Just nice to talk to more folks about what's going on really :)

Gateway Hermit is a great expression! Mine were definitely Mumbo and Grian, and it snowballed massively from there.

Your mrs is lucky to have dragged you into it, my partner sort of hovers on the periphery but will watch the Recap and the occasional video. He's not opposed to me babbling about it though, which is great because I tend to do that a lot XD

So how and when did you get into Hermitcraft?
i got into it around a year ago! i was a casual late-commer into the dream smp fandom, which was my introduction to the minecraft community, so after the series started fizzling out i started slowly watching other stuff! im a big geminitay fan, so her first hermitcraft season was my introduction to the server as a whole!
Who are your favourite Hermits?
hmm that's a hard one! i def have a big gem bias bc she was my introduction to the series, but after watching a dozen of povs, i think my other mains would be mumbo, grian, and etho, and im a casual viewer of cleo, pearl, scar, bdubs, tango, doc, and xisuma
What about your favourite Hermitcraft moment?
hmm, thats even harder. i think the recent buttercups vs doc arc has been hilarious, and other than that, botem hole shenanigans!
What is your favourite thing about the Hermitcraft fandom?
i like how it's either very chill, or extremely chaotic in a silly way, no inbetween

as i said, im very new to dreamwidth - after 10 years using tumblr, the recent twitter-ification has really been bugging me, im a bit of a web2-enjoyer. i added the mcyt tag to my acc here and clicked to check it out for myself - and found this community. im hoping to make friends and just hang out with other fans here!

yeah, some people have a habit of yo-yo'ing between chill and chaos, don't they? it's been weeks and i'm still reeling from how fast it went from bullying grian into building the back of his base to staring a war with doc!

and i think i might post some unfinished sketches/pieces of paintings i havent finished :D i have this one of grian and scar in third life i dont think i will ever get back to that i really like

Lucky timing really, I was just on to post the weekly recap/discussion post :D

Oh yeah, some videos really do go from 0 to 100, although I was thinking more of different Hermit styles. xB is generally chill, while Grian and Scar tend to be up to shenanigans for instance. And Zedaph somehow combines the two, I love his videos so much.

Hello! I'm Strikeslip, geology fan, programmer, larper, and general consumer of fandom. I actually don't usually do fandom-things for minecraft, but I like the idea of having a reason to be posting on Dreamwidth, so here I am.

Also Strikeslip on tumblr, and on the Ao3, but I have very little minecraft yt content on tumblr and none at all on the archive.

So how and when did you get into Hermitcraft?
So I used to watch Etho's single player... and then he started playing on Mindcrack. And eventually he stopped playing on Mindcrack and started playing on Hermitcraft. And that should tell you how long I've been playing minecraft and watching videos! XD

Who are your favourite Hermits?
Etho, Grian, Tango (Love Decked Out, but I actually miss the Create series!) more casually Doc, Pearl, Beef, Keralis, and Mumbo. I also watch the non-hermit MCYTuber Direwolf20 as I do love a good modded minecraft, but the quest book trend in modpacks has been turning me off that a bit.

How did you hear about this community? What are you hoping to find here?
