Season 9 works-in-progress

Season nine is already the longest season of Hermitcraft to date, leading to plenty of speculation that it may end in the near or not-too-distant future. Some Hermits, eg Gem, seem to be mostly finished with their projects for the season, while others still have a lot to do.

What are you hoping to happen/be done before the season ends?

My personal picks:
- rides for Scarland!
- more phases for DO2, both regular phases and some of the fun extra events Tango has hinted at
- Blue River Raceways Cup
- Joe finishing the pinball machine
- Doc finishing the Perimeter murals
- another round of Blood on the Clocktower
- TCG Battle Royale
- Scabland

Some other things I would love to see done/completed but have less confidence in:
- 20 Ways to Fail (hoping for at least a partial completion and other Hermits actually playing)
- another round of Battle Bane
- Mumbo's base

And I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty of things.

I'd like to see some more Lackey runs in DO (Pearl just posted one I think!) More engaged with Vault Hunters right now though, to be honest. I think there might be some new projects to get excited about when all the other series end, but I wouldn't mind a new season either. When's 1.21 coming out? :)

I really enjoyed that lackey run Pearl posted! I totally get why she wanted to get out of the dungeon fast with that artifact but it is a bit of a shame she did not explore those towers, hopefully some other time :)

VH hasn't really grabbed me so far, I watch Etho and occasionally Iskall but that's it. Maybe once they get a bit further?, idk.

Still several months to go for 1.21!, I doubt they will wait that long.

I'd love another big event where all the smaller minigames get played! Also all the things on your list.

I feel like at this point they really are mostly waiting for pinball, Scarland, and the Perimeter murals to finish, though. Pinball is making serious progress toward being playable and the murals are going up fast. I don't think Scarland will ever be finished, but that's because there could always be more!

Does anyone think Grian is going to do anything else on his base...? His original plan was so cool (and I'm pretty sure it involved at least one more tier of buildings.)

I'd love another minigame event. I'm glad they at least play them sometimes when e.g. DO2 is closed and they clearly all enjoy them so it seems like a logical thing to do. I also really enjoyed the snow bucket parkour game, I'm not sure if it's playable right now but it doesn't seem like it would be hard to fix.

I don't think Grian will do much more with his base, unfortunately, most likely not another tier of buildings and I'm not optimistic about the interior either. Despite the long season I don't think many Hermits have done much interior decorating work on their megabases, I'm only aware of Cleo, Gem, and Impulse. And Cub depending on what you count as his base. False I think was planning to but I haven't caught her streams lately so I don't know if she actually got around to it yet, Pearl was busy terraforming, Scar built the insides of the houses but the huge castle is basically empty, and I don't know what counts as interior with Keralis' base.

Pearl has pretty much been doing interiors as she goes - I think she's mostly good - and False has at least some.

Let's see I think X has as much interior as he ever planned, Bdubs has at least some, Cub and Doc it's not really relevant, I have no idea with Etho, False has some, Gem is done, Jevin has a lot, Keralis has at least some, Cleo has a lot and is working on it, Mumbo hasn't finished the walls yet, Grian no, Scar sort of, Pearl yes, Impulse yes, Ren I'm not sure what counts, Stress has at least some interior, Joe's working on it, Tango sort of, Beef yes (in his tiny cabin), xB yes, Zedaph yes

So really I think it's mostly Grian!

Oh right how could I forget Bdubs' fantastic throne room!

Many Hermits I only started watching relatively recently so everything they finished earlier I have no idea about. Etho didn't get very far building his base but the one large room that he has looks very cool from the inside, it's a shame he didn't build more.

Etho is apparently notorious for building his interiors first and building exteriors around them. But I don't think he's even visited his base since Decked Out started!

I missed a lot of what went on at the beginning of the series - I only have a couple of people watched straight through S9 - but I started watching everybody a couple months before DO2 (I am no longer doing this because whew) so I got a good idea of most of the bases, except Iskall's which I know nothing about. They are all very cool!

He has visited his base at least twice since DO started, once to clean up some shulker boxes and once because Hbomb asked to see it ^^
I really loved his season 7 base, that one was also interior first.

I'm still so far behind on everything, I'm trying to catch up on Secret Life first but the last week or so the only time I've really had to watch is right before bed, and I've mostly been watching Vault Hunters then because it's very good to go to sleep to.

Secret Life is a lot, especially when trying to watch most or even all perspectives! I would not have the patience to wait. Do you manage to avoid spoilers?

I try! I'm currently caught up through the end of S4, and I have basically no idea what happened in 5 - but I'm pretty sure I accurately know who died in S6 and more or less why, because that was all over Tumblr almost immediately despite trying to avoid the relevant tags.

I'm trying to be sensible and only watch some POVs but. Every time I watch one there's now another one I need to watch so I can figure out wtf was happening in the first one.
