Season 9 Discussion Post: Week 94

Season 9 Discussion Post: Week 93

Decked Out is finished, so what are our Hermits going to do now? It's back to base finishing, I guess, and hopefully some of the other games on the server will see some use as well - they still haven't played Beef's TCG Hunger Games after all! What do you all think of Zloy's (I think?) thumbnails lately? I personally really enjoy them :D I'd guess that the "again" in "summoned a demon" refers to Impulse, does anyone else have other suggestions? I would not be surprised if there have been more demon summoning incidents on Hermitcraft...

Season 9 works-in-progress

Season nine is already the longest season of Hermitcraft to date, leading to plenty of speculation that it may end in the near or not-too-distant future. Some Hermits, eg Gem, seem to be mostly finished with their projects for the season, while others still have a lot to do.

What are you hoping to happen/be done before the season ends?

My personal picks:
- rides for Scarland!
- more phases for DO2, both regular phases and some of the fun extra events Tango has hinted at
- Blue River Raceways Cup
- Joe finishing the pinball machine
- Doc finishing the Perimeter murals
- another round of Blood on the Clocktower
- TCG Battle Royale
- Scabland

Some other things I would love to see done/completed but have less confidence in:
- 20 Ways to Fail (hoping for at least a partial completion and other Hermits actually playing)
- another round of Battle Bane
- Mumbo's base

And I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty of things.

Tango's back and so is Decked Out! Halloween is getting very close, and despite all the extra gaming going on (now including Hermit dwarves rebuilding the Mines of Moria, apparently) some Hermits are still finding time to build on the server. Tango's well-earned vacation means that the Hermits were deprived of their weekly Decked Out runs, so a bunch of them have gone off to do other things like the new Life series, Vault Hunters, a trip to Vegas for TwitchCon and MCC Live, and apparently also Cities Skylines II? Some people still stuck around the server though, but to be honest I'm more curious about what you think of all the exciting things happening this week. What has been your favourite experiences?

Season 9 Discussion Post: Week 84

(Here I was, ready to post last week's recap... which didn't come out Sunday evening as it usually does. And then I forgot all about it for the whole week! So did the Recap crew, apparently, so I guess it's fine this time XD)

Hermitcraft is still mostly Decked Out (Phase 3 post here) with some other games sprinkled in - oh, and some people are doing a bit of building as well. I'm about a week behind on videos, what do I have to look forward to?

Decked out 2 Phase 3

Is everybody still excited about Decked Out? Most of the Hermits sure are. (Though poor Beef, I wonder if S2 of the TCG will ever finish.)

I'm enjoying it but I'm laughing at myself for claiming a few months back that it's not that hard to keep up with all the Hermits. This is no longer true! I'm barely keeping up with Tango's vods and snatching just a few of the most interesting-looking videos, now that we're suddenly getting over 40 videos a week and most of them 30 mins+.

Does anyone have recs for unmissable videos from the last couple weeks (Decked Out related or not?)

Also I have to complain somewhere so: Ravagers are *clearly* herbivores, they aren't eating the Hermits they are goring them and then trampling them into a fine paste. :(

The dungeon is ready for its victims

Decked Out 2 opened on Saturday!

Tango streamed for several hours on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (with almost 20k viewers on Saturday.) For some reason he is surprised how popular the game is?, it has been played over a hundred times already. And no wonder, it's fantastic. I've been having so much fun watching everyone.

Season 9 Discussion Post: Week 79

This week Tango announced the opening date for Decked Out - September 9th! That's already this Saturday, so prepare for a weekend of Dungeonmaster streams from Tango and probably a deluge of videos from the Hermits over the coming weeks. Perhaps that's the reason why Iskall and Stress have both returned to the server? With all the games currently just finished or under construction on the server, we have a lot to look forward to! Excepting Decked Out, which other games are you excited about?

100 Hours of Hardcore Minecraft

I recently watched the "100 Hours in Hardcore Minecraft" series by Scar (Scar why are your playlists so often out of order), Grian (Grian why do you not have a playlist yourself), and Joel Smallishbeans (good job Joel) that they did about a year and a half ago and I enjoyed it a lot. Some notes of my favorite parts under the cut, including some thoughts on how this fits with Life Series chronology.
