HC s10: New systems and developments

Three weeks into the new season and so much has happened already! Every Hermit has released at least three videos so far, I think the record is Iskall with eight episodes (not even including his vodskall videos.)

False won Demise, congrats to her. And the Hermits have revealed the new shopping district system: permits to sell certain items! (Someone already started a tracker here.) I'm very excited how that will go, and I especially look forward to seeing how Doc will try to exploit the system.
Other favorite recent moments include Mumbo's death chamber to get into his starter base, Beef's interior design for Iskall, Maple Prince Etho, and Grian's Chamber of Sea Critters.

What were some of your favorite moments of s10 so far? And who are you watching? I'm especially enjoying Mumbo, Grian, Etho, Cleo, and (to my surprise) Beef so far and too many others I do not have the time for.

It's been great so far! I'm currently caught up on Bdubs, Etho, Grian, Iskall, Jevin, Keralis, Mumbo, Scar, Tango, Beef, Xisuma, Zedaph, and Cleo (almost halfway there!!) and of that list I think my shortlist would be the same as yours, probably with Iskall added, he has chosen chaos this season and it's great.

(That list is based as much on who seemed easiest to stay caught up on as who I really wanted to watch most. Except Iskall and Beef who have both just been great fun this season in equal and opposite ways. I downright shivered when Iskall offended Big Salmon in Beef's last episode. Beef and Iskall both had Season 9s that I think didn't show off how entertaining they could be but I fell for Beef in the Team Canada he was uploading last year and Iskall in the hermit vault hunters and they've both found a much better dynamic this season.)

Oh yes, Iskall is a lot of fun too, and I appreciate the vodskall videos too. The full Mumbo&Iskall endbusting video is still on my list. I'm also caught up on Scar, Tango, Gem, Bdubs, and Pearl by now and enjoyed those a lot too.

I fell for Beef in the Team Canada he was uploading last year
Same! I was sad when Team Canada stopped playing the Final Paradox map (or at least when Beef stopped uploading), but it has only been around three months so not all hope is lost.
I am excited for Beef to be more involved with the rest of the hermits this season. The wood permits being split between Beef, Skizz, and Doc will surely lead to shenanigans that I am very much looking forward to.

Other favorite permit allocations are Cleo getting S-tier books (probably the one thing that will stop them from immediately undermining the system ^^), and Grian getting red sand and Scar getting sand. Desert Duo! Plus, Scar in the perfect position to take advantage of Doc's sand duping grudge.

I am looking forward to seeing how much trouble Iskall can cause with a monopoly on flight, myself.

Indeed. Not quite, at least Etho and Jevin have their own creeper farms, Cub will definitely build one, probably Doc and Impulse too, but still. (I could imagine the permit system leading to more personal farms in general, but I assume they've thought about that and potential lag issues. Maybe "farm building help/services" could be something people sell...)

Yeah based on his choices so far this season I'm assuming Iskall will do something like deliberately hike prices to cause a black market that he can cause even more trouble with!
